The Role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team and provide support to our teachers in delivering engaging lessons to Year 3 pupils. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing 1:1 and small group support, assisting with lesson delivery, and helping with classroom management.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individualized support to students, both within and outside the classroomAssist with the delivery of lessons and activities, ensuring they are accessible to all learnersContribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, helping with classroom management and organizationSupport students with additional needs, differentiating tasks as necessaryAssist with the preparation and organization of teaching materials and resourcesMonitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the class teacherAbout You
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in Key Stage 2 (Year 3)
- A good understanding of the Year 3 curriculum, including English, Mathematics, and Science
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting children’s learning
- A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3) is desirable, but not essential
