Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Job Description:
This rewarding opportunity is for a qualified Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons. Key responsibilities include assisting with lesson preparation, supporting students with learning tasks, and providing additional support in literacy, numeracy, and SATs preparation.
Responsibilities:
* Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging and effective lessons to Year 6 pupils.
* Provide one-on-one and small group assistance to students, particularly in core subjects like English and Mathematics.
* Prepare pupils for their end-of-year assessments (SATs), working on targeted revision and practice sessions.
* Foster a positive, encouraging learning environment that motivates students to reach their full potential.
* Monitor and assess pupil progress, feeding back to the class teacher and contributing to the planning of future lessons.
* Assist in classroom management and ensure all students are engaged and on-task.
Requirements:
* Experience working with primary school-aged children, ideally in a Year 6 setting.
* A good understanding of the Year 6 curriculum and SATs preparation.
* Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the class teacher and support team.
