Ackerman Pierce invites applications for the role of SEN Tutor for Alternative Provision. As a Secondary Outreach Tutor, you will embark on a rewarding journey providing individualized tuition to SEND students who require access to alternative educational settings.

About the Role

This position presents a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in SEN/HLT to make a tangible difference in the lives of students with complex needs. Our consultants are dedicated to ensuring a seamless onboarding process and providing ongoing support throughout your tenure.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the specific needs of each student, promoting academic growth and personal development.
  • Collaborate with our team to create an inclusive learning environment that fosters social interaction and emotional well-being.

This opportunity comes with a competitive hourly rate of £25-£30 per hour for 15 hours per week (3 hours per day/5 days a week). Additionally, you will benefit from a fully paid DBS check and a comprehensive compliance service, ensuring a hassle-free registration process.

Requirements
  • Hold QTS status (or equivalent) or possess two years' experience teaching NC core subjects as an unqualified teacher.
  • Demonstrate prior experience working with students who have complex needs, including SEMH/ASC/MLD/SpLD.
  • Minimum two years' experience working within a UK school setting.
