The Academics is a leading provider of education and support services. We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate or experienced professional looking to build on their skills and knowledge in mental health and special educational needs (SEN). As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with our team to provide high-quality support to students with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • To work with small groups of students, providing one-to-one support and guidance to enhance their learning experience.
  • To assist with lesson planning and preparation, ensuring that materials and resources are accessible and inclusive for all students.
  • To maintain accurate records of student progress and engagement, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • An undergraduate degree in a relevant field, such as psychology or criminology, or equivalent experience working with SEN students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A real passion for supporting students with mental health and SEN challenges, with a keen interest in restorative and therapeutic approaches to education and behaviour management.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £450-£500 per week, depending on experience and qualifications.
