Care Home Cook

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Marsh House, where you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals for our residents. With Apetito as our catering supplier, you will have access to a wide range of well-presented, nutritious meals that cater to various tastes and dietary needs. Your role will involve working closely with our residents to understand their preferences and requirements.
As a Cook at Dovehaven Care Homes, you will possess excellent cooking skills, a caring nature, and a positive attitude. You will be able to demonstrate compassion and empathy in your approach to residents with varying needs, tastes, and dietary requirements. You will also be an energetic, friendly team player with good organisation and time management skills and the ability to work under pressure effectively.
Working Conditions
You will be working two days a week from 7.30am to 6pm, with every other weekend involved. The contract is for 20 hours per week. You will be based at Marsh House, Ulnes Walton Lane, Leyland.
Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of £20,000 - £25,000 per year, depending on experience. Other benefits include 2 weekly pay, 28 annual leave (pro rata), free uniform, paid DBS check, and fully paid induction training. As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check.
