We are looking for a Companion and Carer for Individual with Learning Disabilities to join our team at UKCIL Ltd. This role is an exciting opportunity to provide companionship and support to a young lady with learning disabilities in her home and on outings.

About the Role

The Companion and Carer for Individual with Learning Disabilities will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to the young lady with learning disabilities, enabling her to live independently and participate fully in her community.

You will need to have experience in providing support for young adults with additional needs and be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the young lady.

The ideal candidate will be a female applicant who is comfortable working with individuals with learning disabilities and has excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide companionship and support to the young lady with learning disabilities
  • Assist with daily living tasks such as washing, dressing, and meal preparation
  • Ensure the young lady's safety and well-being at all times
  • Accompany the young lady on outings and activities
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience in providing support for young adults with additional needs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable working with individuals with learning disabilities

The salary for this role is £16.63 per hour, and you will be required to work 5 days per week with occasional evening and weekend shifts. You will also receive 5.6 weeks of holiday per year.
