About the Role
We are recruiting for an experienced and passionate Multiple Sclerosis Nurse Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust.
Job Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and clinically skilled nurse to take on a challenging and rewarding role providing specialist care to patients with Multiple Sclerosis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in adult nursing, with experience in specialist neurological care and non-medical prescribing.
Main Responsibilities
- To assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment programmes for patients with Multiple Sclerosis.
- To work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions between services.
- To educate and support patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals on MS management and treatment options.
- To maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- To contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to MS care.

Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid NMC registration as an Adult Nurse.
- Demonstrable experience in specialist neurological care, including Multiple Sclerosis.
- Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification or working towards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
