Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead our team of Software Engineers at Hyperexponential Ltd. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for driving technical strategy, managing teams, and fostering innovation.

About the Role
  • The successful candidate will have a strong background in people management, with a minimum of 2 years of experience leading direct reports.
  • They will also possess hands-on experience with technologies such as Web services, databases (PostgreSQL), APIs, and platform architecture (AWS, Terraform, Docker).
  • A solid understanding of agile methodologies, software development lifecycles, and personal development planning is essential.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Software Engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to ensure their growth and success.
  • Develop and implement technical strategies that align with business goals, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain open communication channels with team members, stakeholders, and directors, ensuring seamless collaboration and information exchange.
  • Collaborate with other engineering managers to drive engineering-wide initiatives and coordinate team dependencies.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and learning, encouraging team members to take calculated risks and explore new ideas.
Requirements
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in software engineering or a related field, with a proven track record of leadership and technical expertise.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with experience working with complex systems and technologies.
