Unit Manager - Chartwells Schools

At Chartwells, we're seeking an experienced and passionate Unit Manager to oversee our catering and service operations in schools. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring our kitchens and service counters run smoothly, delivering exceptional food experiences, and helping our teams excel in their roles.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing high-quality food to meet our standards
  • Supervising our culinary and catering teams to ensure impeccable food and customer service
  • Communicating regularly with your line manager to monitor KPIs and targets
  • Representing Chartwells and maintaining a positive brand image
  • Liaising between customers and our teams to exceed expectations
  • Supporting and training our teams, leading from the front to ensure everyone can excel
  • Implementing and reviewing Health & Safety standards to ensure compliance across all teams.

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about great-tasting food and exceptional customer service, with a minimum of two years of catering experience, experience managing teams, and a Basic Food Hygiene certificate. They'll also have excellent communication and organisational skills, and be an ambitious and motivated individual who is always looking to upskill.
