Outreach Tutor SEN/SEMH

Are you a dedicated and passionate individual with experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN) or social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges? CV-Library is seeking a compassionate Outreach Tutor in Newham to provide tailored educational support to students outside of traditional classroom settings.

Job Overview:

As an Outreach Tutor specialising in SEN/SEMH, you will work with students who may find mainstream education challenging due to their additional needs. This role involves delivering one-on-one or small-group tuition in various settings, helping students overcome educational barriers and achieve their full potential.

  • Provide personalised educational support to students with SEN/SEMH in a range of settings, such as their homes or community spaces.
  • Work closely with families, schools, and other professionals to monitor student progress and adapt tutoring approaches as needed.
  • Help students build confidence, independence, and essential life skills alongside their academic development.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with students with SEN/SEMH or in a support/care role.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and child protection. Successful candidates must pass all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS check on the update service.
Salary:
