Job Title: Special Education Support Professional

Location: Newham, London

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Support Professional to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) in an Ofsted Outstanding academy.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  1. Previous experience working with students with ASD, SLD and PMLD
  2. Ability to work effectively with challenging behaviour
  3. Experience working with students aged 2-19 years old
  4. A valid and enhanced child and adult DBS check

The Role Involves:

  1. Supporting the class teacher to deliver high-quality education
  2. 1:1 time with students to promote academic and personal growth
  3. Providing personal care and support as needed
  4. Maintaining a positive and focused classroom environment
  5. Building strong relationships with students and staff

Requirements:

  1. Hold the right to work in the UK
  2. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate or be willing to process a new application
  3. Provide two professional child-related references
