Care Consultant
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is a newly established organisation, bringing together expertise from across mental health, learning disabilities, community, and physical health services. We are currently seeking an experienced Care Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and support to our patients with complex functional illnesses and memory difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
• To promote multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working for the Functional illness pathway for older adults and in the Memory Service.
• Offer consultation and support for DOT and Home Treatment Service as needed.
• Support and help develop the integrated care pathways for older adults with mental health difficulties.
• Work with the lead consultant psychiatrist for OPMH in providing clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team, in co-operation with the Service Manager.
• Work with other clinical staff in achieving high standards of risk assessment and general psychiatric assessments for all patients presenting to the service.
• Provide clinical support and supervision to multidisciplinary teams, including complex risk assessments.
• Undertake Section 12 and Approved Clinician duties related to the Mental Health Act (1983), with reference to the current Code of Conduct of Practice.

• Full GMC Registration with license to practice.
• Section 12 Approval.
• Approved Clinician status.
• MRCPsych.

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is £70,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including pension scheme, life insurance, and paid annual leave.
