We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Administrator to join our team in Fareham, UK. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in managing technical documents and performing defined tasks to support test and compliance activities.

About the Job

This is a new position within our company, offering a wide-ranging remit to manage technical documents in support of test and compliance activities, and perform defined tasks in line with company SOPs. You will be responsible for owning the job function, performing all required tasks, and filing off/storing supporting documentation and reports within defined company storage repositories.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of engineering, imagination, and drive, with the ability to work unsupervised to tight timescales. You will be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with a proven track record of data capture and analysis.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and maintaining high-quality technical documentation in line with company requirements.
  • Managing document lifecycle, including control/release/change management using document control system PLM.
  • Reviewing internal & external test reports for suitability (quality and completeness, etc.).
  • Performing data retrieval tasks and evaluation of results in line with company SOPs.
  • Organizing and coordinating the release of hardware from Saab Seaeye to external testing companies.
  • Managing returned test articles into the business.
  • Managing RFQs for Testing services + other equipment and components.
  • Managing the purchase of required test services/equipment/components from vendor selection to PO request process.
  • Processing department performance metrics and creating/managing KPIs.

What We Offer

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A-level/ONC qualification or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a technical-focused role.
  • Proven experience in data capture and analysis.
  • Previous experience working with multi-disciplinary systems (electrical, mechanical, software).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Innovative and creative mindset with technical awareness.
  • Ability to work unsupervised to tight timescales.
  • Enthusiasm, drive, and personality.
  • Data reviews to analyze and summarize data trends.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Desirable Qualifications

Possession of HNC or Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or experience in the offshore and/or subsea industry would be advantageous. Knowledge of product certification, best-practice, and industry standards, as well as expertise in Microsoft Excel, would also be beneficial.
