Kenny Recruit is partnering with a prominent retail company to find an experienced HR Manager to lead their people strategy on a permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to become part of the senior leadership team in the future, ideal for someone looking to progress their career.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and delivering the people strategy for our client's next chapter of growth, balancing generalist HR duties with driving people & culture initiatives. This is a 360-degree role that will excite someone who thrives in busy environments with ownership and responsibility.

To succeed, you must be a strong self-starter, consistently seeking continuous improvement and opportunities across your remit. You will develop and monitor overall HR processes, systems, and procedures, ensuring compliance and best practice. As an experienced People Manager, you will guide and support end-to-end HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, ER, HR policies, and admin processes. You will produce regular reports for the Senior Leadership Team and provide support through HR metrics.

Additionally, you will oversee the HR function, manage outsourced payroll, ensure accurate employee data, coordinate office equipment/technology needs, and negotiate with suppliers. If you are passionate about driving business success through effective people management, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy
  • Provide expert advice to senior management on all HR matters
  • Lead the development of HR policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process
  • Ownership of monthly payroll process and relationship with third-party provider
  • Develop and implement effective talent management strategies
  • Oversee performance management process
  • Foster positive and inclusive workplace culture
  • Manage employee relations issues
  • Oversee HR systems and processes, championing technology
  • Manage HR budget

The ideal candidate will be an autonomous self-starter, willing to operate on various levels and execute commitments in a timely manner. They should have experience working as an HR generalist, high-volume prioritization skills, and knowledge of UK and EU employment law. CIPD qualification (level 5 or 7) with demonstrable CPD is required. The estimated salary for this role is £62,000 - £82,000 per annum, depending on experience, in Central London (ideally 4 days in the office but would consider 3 for the right candidate). Working hours are from 9am-6pm.
