Junior Merchandiser Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading fashion retailer as a junior merchandiser based in Central London. The brand is renowned for its wide selection of high-street fashion RTW and accessories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieve department KPIs in line with strategy and department targets
  • Review weekly sales and stock intake, coordinating action to maximise profitability and reduce risks
  • Contribute to range development and preparation, and present range sign-offs
  • Liaise with buyers to monitor product groups, determine pricing strategy, and price points
  • Ensure in-season activity delivers planned sales, margin, and terminal stock targets
  • Analyse competitors and trends to maximise profit
Requirements:
  • Junior merchandising experience in fashion
  • Good presentation skills
  • High organisational skills and ability to multitask and prioritise
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and interpretive skills
  • Fashion customer knowledge
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to maintain good relationships with branch merchandising, design, buying, quality assurance, and suppliers
  • Collaborative team player
