Job Summary

We are currently recruiting a Medical Accreditation Specialist to support the Revalidation & Accreditation Manager in the provision of operational functions to ensure the smooth running of assessment and revalidation across local offices in the South East region.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will support the day-to-day activities of revalidating postgraduate medical trainee doctors on behalf of the Responsible Officer (RO). This includes maintaining excellent records, ensuring accuracy and timely activity, coordinating assessment activity across education programs, and supporting Education Programme Managers to ensure appropriate governance is in place.

The Medical Accreditation Specialist will produce various reports, data, and information as required by NHSE and the GMC, participate in local and regional meetings, set up meetings, assist in setting agendas, and minute those meetings.

They will also support the implementation of local and national guidance and policy on assessment and revalidation in the local office and frequent liaison with internal and external stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of administrative procedures and associated information analysis resulting in excellent time management skills with the ability to reprioritize.
  • Experience of dealing with a wide range of stakeholders and providing complex information and advice.
  • Advanced keyboard skills and advanced use of IT systems and software programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.

Estimated Salary

£35,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience.
