Job Summary

This role involves working as a Consultant Psychiatrist in a new 12-bedded CAMHS service in Surrey. The ideal candidate will have experience in CAMHS Forensic and/or Eating Disorders and be registered on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with a licence to practice.

Responsibilities
  • Review referrals and determine appropriateness for admission
  • Conduct admission assessments and maintain effective management plans of all young people on the unit
  • Conduct risk assessments and review regularly
  • Allocate specialist psychological treatments in line with individual needs
  • Assess physical health
  • Ensure effective liaison with referring teams
  • Facilitate regular CPA review meetings
  • Act as Responsible Clinician for young people detained under the Mental Health Act
  • Involvement in quality, inspections, and governance processes
Salary and Benefits

The annual salary for this role is £150,000 - £200,000, depending on experience.
