Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a FIT Negative Administrator within the Cancer Services department at James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Colorectal Cancer team, including developing and organizing data collection, preparing and inputting data into spreadsheets, and utilizing available information technology to maintain patient records.

Main Responsibilities

The post holder will be required to have good organizational skills, a willingness to learn, and excellent communication skills. They will also need to be able to work under pressure and provide a friendly, compassionate service to patients.

Key Requirements

  • Good standard of general education with four GCSEs Grade 3(D) or above including English and Maths or equivalent
  • Evidence of IT skills and healthcare information systems, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience of using a Patient Administration System
  • Experience working in an administration/secretarial capacity in a healthcare setting
  • Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and data protection issues within a healthcare environment
