Job Description

We are seeking kind-hearted individuals with patience and creativity to be successful SEN Teaching Assistants.

You will work alongside class teachers and therapy teams to support each child's progress towards their goals.

This is a hands-on role which may require personal care, hoisting, medication, and feeding.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will gain experience working with various learning difficulties, communication techniques, physical disabilities, sensory impairment, Autism, and complex medical needs.

Our SEN Schools aim to prepare young people for their adult lives, whether in employment, supported living, or social care.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong understanding of the requirements to support pupils with additional needs
  • Experience supporting young people with SEN would be advantageous
  • Training in PECS, Makaton, manual handling, and hoisting (desired but not essential)
  • Adaptability, motivation, and the ability to take initiative

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
