About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team at Linden Lodge School. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary therapy team, you will work closely with children and young people with complex needs, providing specialist occupational therapy services to support their participation and functional activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based occupational therapy services to children and young people with complex needs, including those with profound and multiple learning disabilities, sensory impairment, and physical disabilities.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, families, and carers to implement occupational therapy strategies and approaches.
- Assess, diagnose, and develop plans to support children and young people with a wide range of occupational performance difficulties.
- Prescribe and provide specialist equipment to support occupational engagement and participation.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with children, young people, and their families, ensuring a high standard of care and support.
Requirements:
- Recognised Occupational Therapy degree qualification or equivalent.
- Registered member of Health Care Professions Council Licence to Practice.
- Experience working as an occupational therapist with children and young people, including those with complex needs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with children, young people, and their families.
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and develop plans to support children and young people with a wide range of occupational performance difficulties.
