Occupational Therapist for Children and Young People

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team at Linden Lodge School. As a key member of our integrated, multi-disciplinary therapy team, you will provide specialist occupational therapy services to children and young people with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to children and young people with a wide range of occupational performance difficulties.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, families, and carers to implement occupational therapy strategies and approaches.
- Assess, diagnose, and implement appropriate management plans for children with complex neurodevelopmental disabilities and sensory impairment.
- Prescribe specialist equipment to support occupational engagement and participation.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, families, and carers to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements:
- Recognised Occupational Therapy degree qualification or equivalent.
- Registered member of Health Care Professions Council Licence to Practice.
- Experience working as an occupational therapist with children and young people, including experience of assessing, diagnosing, and implementing appropriate management plans.
- Knowledge of evidence-based upper limb management and safe manual and therapeutic handling techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including observation, listening, and empathy skills.
