Occupational Therapist for Children and Young People

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team, working with children and young people in a specialist paediatric setting.
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the needs of students for Education and Health Care Plans (EHCPs) and providing targeted and specialist interventions to support their development. Additionally, the role involves training and upskilling teaching staff to effectively support students' occupational therapy goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' sensory, motor, and self-care skills to determine eligibility for Occupational Therapy provision within their EHCP.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate occupational therapy goals into students' educational plans and learning environment.
- Provide ongoing monitoring and evaluation of intervention effectiveness, adjusting plans as necessary to optimise outcomes.
- Conduct training and support to teaching staff on strategies and techniques to promote students' functional skills and independence within the classroom setting.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, case notes, annual review reports and intervention plans in accordance with regulatory standards and LCP policies.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- HCPC and RCOT registration.
- Bachelor's or Master's in Occupational Therapy.
- Up to 1 year of paediatric Occupational therapy experience.
