Job Title: Children's Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated Paediatric Occupational Therapy team in Nottinghamshire.

About the Role:

As a Children's Occupational Therapist, you will work collaboratively with colleagues and key workers to provide support to disabled children, young people, and their families across Nottinghamshire. Your role will involve completing assessments of need and recommending equipment and adaptations to support children and young people in their homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Be registered with the HCPC or have applied for registration
  • Be passionate about working with children and young people, ideally with experience of working with children in a professional capacity or otherwise
  • Have knowledge and/or experience of children's equipment and adaptation solutions
  • Have the ability to manage and prioritise your case work
  • Have great communication skills and the ability to form positive relationships with a wide range of partner agencies
  • Be able to work effectively in a team as well as being self-directed as an individual
  • Have an understanding of statutory legislation that underpins Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention in children's social care
  • Be a reflective practitioner with a commitment to supervision and professional development
  • Have commitment and personal drive to achieve excellent outcomes for children, young people, and their families
