Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic librarian to join our Junior School team at Teacheroo. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fully co-educational school with spacious grounds and sports facilities.

About the Job:

The Junior School Librarian will be responsible for implementing a policy for the library, planning and overseeing the organisation and management of the library, and actively promoting the library as a resource that is at the heart of the school. They will also deliver library sessions to all classes, select, organise, promote and maintain book and non-book materials, and ensure the library provides a suitable and welcoming atmosphere which fosters reading for pleasure.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to relate well to young people, and have knowledge of current children's literature. They will also have the ability to work with all colleagues within the school and externally, and multitask effectively.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
