School Context:

Our client school is part of a unique, trauma-centred therapeutic group of schools in the UK. They cater to children with EHCPs for adverse childhood experiences and SEMH needs, striving for excellence in education and therapy.

About the Role:

We seek an experienced Assistant Head Teacher to join our client school, focusing on leadership and SEMH support. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in teaching and leading within a primary setting, particularly in supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To work closely with the executive principal to maintain consistently outstanding standards, aligning with ISS and Ofsted expectations.
  2. To contribute to the development of strategies to promote positive behaviour, aligned with the school's policy.
  3. To establish positive working relationships with all stakeholders.
  4. To contribute to the growth and development of the school community.

Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal candidate should possess qualified teacher status or a relevant degree-level qualification. Previous leadership experience within a challenging context, as well as a strong grasp of the primary national curriculum, is essential. Recent CPD and Safer Recruitment training are also required.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is £55,000 - £75,000, depending on experience. Benefits include up to 15 weeks of holiday, a private healthcare package, and opportunities for performance-linked progression.
