Nursery Assistant

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bank Staff Member to join our team at Bright Horizons. As a Bank Staff Member, you will have the flexibility to work on a bank or locum basis, allowing you to choose when and how much you work.
Key Responsibilities
- Support nursery colleagues in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, engaging children in play and activities that promote their development and safety.
- Work as part of a team to ensure all essential tasks are completed, maintaining high standards of hygiene and room preparation.
- Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health, and safety, and safeguarding.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive, happy, and safe environment for children and colleagues.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children is ideal, but not essential. Relevant experience includes nursery bank staff, nursery assistant, teaching assistant, nanny, childminder, or similar roles.
- A passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
- The ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults.
- A sound understanding of child protection and the safeguarding of children.
- The ability to be flexible and adaptable.
