At Umbrella Functional Consulting & Support Team, we are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Care Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual who is passionate about providing exceptional care and support to individuals with complex needs.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for supporting a young adult with cerebral palsy on a 2:1 basis, providing assistance with daily living activities and promoting independence. This role requires a minimum of 2 years' experience in care and a strong understanding of learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care and support to the client
- Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing and dressing
- Encourage independence and promote participation in activities
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and well-being
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in care
- A strong understanding of learning disabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
