About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Operations Specialist to join our team at bet365. As an IT Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production systems, providing exceptional support to our internal departments and senior members of staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain vigilant monitoring of our Networks Operations Centre, ensuring that alerts are handled in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Respond to, investigate, escalate, and resolve service-affecting incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to our business.
  • Complete daily tasks to ensure production systems are functioning correctly, identifying and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with senior managers and stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates on escalated issues.
  • Log requests for change and incidents in our Remedy ticketing system, ensuring accurate and timely recording.
  • Measure the impact of system, policy, or procedural changes, providing prompt and accurate feedback to inform business decisions.
  • Coordinate planned maintenance work, checking for scheduling clashes and ensuring seamless execution.
  • Disable, enable, retract, and re-advertise services to facilitate planned maintenance, minimizing downtime.
  • Communicate with stakeholders at key times, ensuring work is proceeding according to the agreed schedule and escalating appropriately where necessary.
  • Act as the first point of contact for our production IT service and associated infrastructure, providing exceptional support to internal departments and senior members of staff.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work unsupervised and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Quick learner with a willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Working knowledge of computer networking and Cisco technologies, with experience working with and troubleshooting Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
