We are seeking a highly skilled IT Operations Specialist to join our team at bet365. As an IT Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production systems, providing exceptional support to our internal departments and senior members of staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Incident Management
    • Respond to and investigate service-affecting incidents in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Escalate incidents as necessary to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Monitoring and Maintenance
    • Monitor key infrastructure and systems to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
    • Perform daily tasks to ensure production systems are functioning correctly.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with senior managers and stakeholders to ensure issues are resolved promptly.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of services.
  • Change Management
    • Log requests for change and incidents in our ticketing system.
    • Measure the impact of system, policy, or procedural changes and provide prompt and accurate feedback.
  • Planned Maintenance
    • Coordinate planned maintenance work to minimize disruption to our services.
    • Check for scheduling clashes for all high-risk changes.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Act as the first point of contact for the production IT service and associated infrastructure for internal departments and senior members of staff.
    • Communicate with stakeholders at key times to ensure work is proceeding according to the agreed schedule.

Requirements

  • Technical Skills
    • Working knowledge of computer networking and Cisco technologies.
    • Experience working with and troubleshooting Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
  • Soft Skills
    • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
    • Excellent ability to multitask.
    • Proactive, with the ability to make and act on decisions when under pressure.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised.
    • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with high attention to detail.
    • Concise written and verbal communication skills.
    • Quick learner with a willingness to learn new skills.
