Job Title: Financial Operations Specialist

Davies is seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our Claims Finance team in Stoke. In this role, you will be responsible for managing client-funded bank accounts on behalf of our claims management teams. Your primary duties will include producing monthly claims management, reconciliations, and statements while supporting the Claims Finance team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake bank reconciliations and client reconciliations using Excel as per client and company requirements.
  • Monitor and control client accounts and client funds in line with client and company service standards, escalating any issues internally or to clients as required.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation queries in a timely manner.
  • Record all receipts and credits in a timely manner.
  • Complete payment processes via online banking, cheque, and internal systems.
  • Process cheques in and out, including bank cheques.
  • Process Davies fee payments.
  • Process bank account applications.
  • Answer and resolve telephone and email queries in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with staff from across the Davies Group and external clients.
  • Support the oversight and development of the Claims Finance team, including any training and development needs.
  • Adhere to Company systems and procedures.
  • Actively promote the principle of Treating Customers Fairly.
Requirements:
  • Good reconciliation experience.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines while prioritizing workload.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Excellent telephone manner and Customer Service experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • The ability to work in a team as well as individually.
