Gleeson Recruitment Group is partnering with a prominent not-for-profit organisation in Birmingham to find a Senior Account Manager.

This organisation is a renowned entity that attracts and retains investment and tourism opportunities in the West Midlands region.

The successful candidate will be part of the Account Management team and will be responsible for undertaking typical account management duties while bringing additional capabilities to engage with large accounts and senior leaders across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing a knowledgeable, credible, and professional point of contact for stakeholders.
  • Building strong relationships at C-suite level within the private and public sector.
  • Collaborating with public sector stakeholders.
  • Developing and delivering intelligence-led account management plans.
  • Engaging with key industry associations and trade bodies when relevant.
  • Working proactively and collaboratively with the Head of SRM and SRM colleagues to deliver a professional and strategically valuable service.
  • Promoting the benefits of the SRM offer to businesses within the West Midlands.
  • Representing the organisation professionally at events and actively working to raise the profile of the business and the region.
  • Working with senior leaders across the region and the company's senior leadership team in the effective operation of SRM for large accounts.
  • Taking a senior role in the SRM team, working closely with the Head of SRM in the delivery of some leadership and management aspects of delivery when needed.

Requirements:

  • A clear and articulate communicator who can use their knowledge of the key industries represented in the West Midlands (e.g. automotive, advanced manufacturing, creative & digital, life sciences, low carbon, professional services) to create credibility at a C-suite level.
  • Corporate, director-level account management experience in a private sector organisation.
  • A strong understanding of the key forces impacting corporate strategy and the future challenges facing West Midlands and UK businesses.
  • Experience/understanding of regional and public sector challenges in the West Midlands.

This role will be based out of the client's offices in central Birmingham two times per week. This role offers a competitive salary.
