Special Education Support Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Social Care and Education Jobs in Bootle, Merseyside. Estimated salary: £25,915 per annum for Term Time only, with the potential for benefits such as Pension Scheme, Health Care Plan, Blue Light Card, Free Online GP Service & Life Assurance, Free DBS, Flexible payday scheme, and Continued training and professional development opportunities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in planning and delivering engaging learning activities to support young children aged 4-11 years old with Special Education needs, including Autism and Disabilities.
In this role, you will work closely with an exceptional team to provide education to students who require additional support. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting teachers in planning and delivering lessons that cater to individual student needs.
- Tracking and reporting on student progress using the school's marking and assessment policy.
- Creating inclusive learning environments that promote social, emotional, and academic growth.
Requirements for this position include a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification or higher and experience working with children who have Specialist Educational Needs. Successful applicants will undergo pre-employment safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check.
