Special Education Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Support Professional to join our team at a Specialist Early Years Education School for young children aged 4-11 years old. This school provides education to children with Special Education needs, including Autism ASC / ASD and Disabilities (SEND).
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will work alongside Specialist Tutors and a specialist team of therapists to support learners with their educational, communication, and therapeutic needs while encouraging positive behaviour.
This role involves assisting learners with their educational goals, providing individualised support, and promoting social integration through structured routines and positive reinforcement.
About the RoleAs an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver tailored lessons and activities that meet the unique needs of each learner.
- Assist Specialist Tutors in delivering lessons and activities that support learners' education and development.
- Work closely with speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and behaviour support staff to provide comprehensive support.
- Provide 1:1 and group support for students with physical disabilities and learning difficulties, helping them achieve their educational goals.
- Encourage independence in daily activities and promote social integration through structured routines and positive reinforcement.
- Support learners with communication challenges using specialized techniques or tools as required.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools.
- Experience working with children or young people, preferably in a Special Education setting.
- Patient, understanding, and a dedicated approach to supporting learners.
- A passion for making a difference in the lives of young people.
- A desire to pursue a meaningful vocation in education.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary of £11.69 - £12.79 per hour, along with a range of benefits, including:
