Account Manager Role


We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our sales team at Adecco UK Limited in Peterborough. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing over 100 accounts, focusing on the 'bronze and silver' accounts, building and developing strong relationships with customers, and ensuring exceptional service.



About the Role

  • Salary Range: £35k (negotiable depending on experience) including commission and bonuses
  • Contract Type: Permanent

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to have proven experience in a similar position, excellent time management and multitasking skills, attention to detail and problem-solving abilities, familiarity with technical or complex information, sales experience exceeding targets, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience within the construction/joinery industry is desirable but not essential.



Key Responsibilities

  1. Act as the primary point of contact for dedicated customers' inquiries
  2. Build and develop rapport with dedicated accounts, addressing customer needs and concerns promptly
  3. Handle incoming sales inquiries via phone and email, identifying opportunities and securing orders
  4. Negotiate and close contracts with existing and new clients
  5. Monitor clients' budgets, explain cost details, and discuss terms of business
  6. Upsell and cross-sell products, ensuring customer satisfaction
  7. Follow up with clients to ensure their satisfaction with products and services
