Job Title: Head of Sales and Business Development

Location: Cambridge, UK

We are seeking an experienced Head of Sales and Business Development to join our team at CV-Library. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary of £90,000 - £110,000 per annum.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive commercial strategies aimed at achieving revenue growth and profitability. They will oversee the entire sales and marketing function, including strategy development, market entry, revenue growth, and team leadership.

You will also be responsible for:

  1. New Product Launch: leading, planning and strategic focused on new product launches in the life sciences sector.
  2. Business Development: Identifying relevant market segments within Life Sciences and expanding clients customer base.
  3. Expand Customer Network: Utilising your extensive customer network to establish relationships with key industry players and secure large-scale partnerships in new and existing markets.
  4. Leadership: Leading sales, marketing, and business development teams.
  5. Oversee global product launches
  6. Commercial strategy: Developing and executing comprehensive commercial strategies aimed at achieving revenue growth and profitability.

About You

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Degree qualified in life sciences or equivalent (PhD preferred).
  • A desire to work in a dynamic start-up environment.
  • Extensive senior-level commercial experience in Life Sciences, ideally with a focus on analytical instruments, bioprocessing hardware, or similar.
  • An extensive network within the biotechnology sector, particularly in Cell Line Development, Process Development, and Upstream Manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Experience working in international markets and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in setting up and growing the sales & marketing team.
