About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at MKJ Ignite, a forward-thinking brand looking to disrupt the challenge brand industry.

Main Responsibilities:

  • New Business Acquisition: Identify and secure new business opportunities with premium retailers and distributors, developing a tailored sales strategy to scale the brand's presence in UK and international markets.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute a bespoke sales strategy for scaling the brand's presence in UK and international markets.
  • Lead Generation and Management: Research and generate leads, nurture them through the sales pipeline, and close deals to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Pitching and Negotiation: Prepare compelling presentations and proposals, and lead negotiations to secure profitable, long-term partnerships.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the marketing, logistics, and operations teams to ensure the successful onboarding of new clients and smooth product rollouts.

Requirements:

  • Business Development Expertise: Demonstrable experience in business development, particularly in new client acquisition, ideally within the FMCG or premium food sector.
  • Results-Driven: A track record of exceeding sales targets and securing new, high-value partnerships.
  • Remote Work Experience: Ability to work independently in a remote setting, managing your time and priorities effectively to drive results.
  • Networking and Relationship Building: Strong connections in the UK food sector, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of the premium consumer market, particularly in food and drink.
