About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at Bromford, a housing association dedicated to providing safe, secure, and affordable homes for people who cannot access market housing.



Job Overview

In this dynamic role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the business to achieve its health and safety policy aims. This position is crucial in ensuring that both colleagues and customers thrive in alignment with the company's strategy. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role, demonstrating their capability to navigate and manage health and safety requirements effectively within an organization of comparable size and complexity.

As a Senior Health and Safety Advisor, you will be working in a fast-paced environment and must be adept at engaging with stakeholders confidently on all aspects of health and safety. Exceptional communication and strong influencing skills are crucial, as the role requires the ability to present and advocate for health and safety measures persuasively.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement effective health and safety strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices

- Conduct risk assessments and identify areas for improvement to minimize hazards and promote a culture of safety

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide expert guidance on health and safety matters

- Foster a positive safety culture by promoting awareness and encouraging participation in health and safety initiatives

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

- A NEBOSH diploma or equivalent qualification

- Membership of IOSH with a minimum of three years of continuous professional development (CPD)

- Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations and frameworks

- Strong influencing and communication skills

- Ability to travel across operational areas and work in a dynamic environment
