About the Role

Occupational Health Clinical Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join our dynamic team at Health and Care Management Ltd, a leading provider of integrated health solutions. Based in Tewkesbury, with hybrid working arrangements considered after probation, this role requires some travel.

Status: Full-time, 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday, between 8am and 6pm

Salary: £30-45k depending on experience

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Occupational Health nurse to provide clinical support to our team and contribute to the delivery of health surveillance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • To deliver expert occupational health advice across all service channels, ensuring effective case management and achieving objectives through leadership, coaching, audit, training, and development of colleagues.
  • To identify potential reasons for ill health or injury, providing evidence-based treatment and recommendations to address presenting problems and underlying issues.
  • Supervise technicians delivering customer health surveillance programs, ensuring compliance with legal and best practice requirements.
  • Conduct relevant clinical scrutiny and auditing, record shortfalls, and implement actions to improve processes.
  • Report trends from auditing and develop plans to reduce risks.
Essential Skills and Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • NMC Level one registration.
  • Minimum 5 years general nursing experience.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as an OHNA.
  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health or equivalent.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Occupational Health and relevant legislation.

Desirable skills and experience:

  • HAVs Tier 3 qualification.
  • Health surveillance qualifications - e.g audiometry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

This role suits those with a background in nursing, occupational health, or OH assessment, who can demonstrate excellent understanding of occupational health and keep qualifications current.
