Job Description:

The NHS Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of high-quality care to women and babies on our delivery suite, antenatal and postnatal ward.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment and contribute to the delivery of safe and effective maternity care. You will be responsible for providing clinical support to midwives, undertaking personal care duties for women and babies, and assisting mothers in feeding their babies and caring for them.

Main Duties:

  • Provide clinical support to midwives and undertake personal care duties for women and babies.
  • Assist mothers in feeding their babies and caring for them.
  • Clean beds, trolleys, rooms, and undertake general housekeeping duties.
  • Transfer postnatal women from the delivery suite to the maternity ward as required.
  • Deliver food to women and ensure a high standard of hygiene.
