Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Management Director to join our team at the North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement emergency plans to ensure the Trust's preparedness and response to major incidents.
  • Manage and assess risks associated with public events and special medical arrangements required.
  • Contribute to the Trust's Business Continuity Policy and manage site-specific plans in accordance with national and statutory requirements.
  • Participate in the Resilience Team on-call rota to provide specialist support and advice to incident commanders.

Key Requirements
  • Demonstrable specialist knowledge of the Civil Contingencies Act and Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Principles.
  • Experience in managing significant projects and designing delivery of training and educational programmes.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to influence senior management and other organisations.
