Strategic Learning Director

The Director of Learning and Development at Hogan Lovells is a key member of our global team, reporting directly to the Chief Learning Officer. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including regional managing partners, training partners, talent teams, HR, and DEI teams, to design, develop, and deliver learning programs that align with our firm's strategic priorities and culture.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure that learning goals and content of HL Learn programs align with the firm's strategic priorities and culture.
- Oversee the quality of in-person and virtual learning programs, as well as online learning for lawyers in the region.
- Implement new tools and processes to offer state-of-the-art learning and integrate online learning into existing milestone programs.
- Promote L&D internally and externally at various occasions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to connect and further develop L&D offerings with the needs of the business.
- Support the career development of the Americas L&D team.
- Add competency development topics to leadership discussions to support the lawyer of the future.
- Responsible for budget planning and approval processes.
- Responsible for periodical impact reviews and data-based decisions.
- Support our recruitment brand and showcases regional performance to foster our brand as an employer of choice internally and externally.
The ideal candidate will have ten (10)+ years of relevant learning & development experience in law or a similar professional services firm, a Bachelor's degree, and excellent project management and communication skills. Coaching certificate and experience are highly desirable.
