Health, Safety and Environmental Director

About this role:
We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to join our Facilities team at END. as we continue to grow and expand our operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Developing safety policies: Create and implement policies and procedures that ensure a safe working environment across all END. UK sites.
- Risk assessment: Identify potential hazards in the workplace and devise strategies to mitigate these risks, conducting regular risk assessments and maintaining records.
- Compliance management: Ensure that END. adheres to all relevant health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations, maintaining excellent records and negotiating with contractors as needed.
- Emergency response planning: Develop and maintain emergency response plans for various potential incidents.
- Employee training and engagement: Conduct training sessions for employees on safety practices and promote a culture of safety awareness.
- Incident investigation and reporting: Investigate workplace incidents or accidents and report findings to relevant parties.
- Environmental management: Implement strategies for waste management, pollution control, and sustainable practices.
- Health and wellness programs: Develop programs to support employee health and wellness.
- Continuous improvement: Regularly review and update EHS policies and procedures to improve safety standards.
- Stakeholder communication: Communicate effectively with employees, management, and external stakeholders about EHS matters, providing specialist advice to the senior team to implement safety changes.
- Manage ESOS reporting and compliance.
Requirements:
- Hold Level 5 professional qualifications or extensive practical knowledge gained through experience.
- Demonstrate leadership and mentor junior colleagues, establishing milestones and deadlines, team objectives, and delegating responsibilities.
- Perform complex professional or financial activities, analyzing requirements and advising on scope and options for performance improvement.
- Have significant impact on the function's overall direction and performance, which has a direct impact on the overall company performance.
- Develop strong partnerships internally and externally to positively impact the customer.
