Job Description:
Supporting Vulnerable Adults in Sheltered HousingWe're looking for a skilled Support Officer to join our team in Edinburgh. As a Support Officer, you'll play a vital role in supporting vulnerable adults in our sheltered housing developments across the city.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality support to vulnerable adults, including emergency responses, tailored advice, and direct and indirect support.
- Assess and respond to the needs of service users, working closely with colleagues and external agencies to ensure effective support.
- Develop and maintain relationships with service users, families, and carers, promoting independence and reducing social isolation.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience in supporting vulnerable adults, ideally in a similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Basic IT skills and ability to learn new software.
Working Arrangements:
This is a fixed-term contract until 30/01/2026, working 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, within normal business hours. The salary for this role is £25,322 - £27,727 per year, dependent on experience.
