Highly Specialist Applied Psychologist/Psychological Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Highly Specialist Applied Psychologist/Psychological Therapist to join our team at Tewv Brits. As a key member of our Employee Psychology Service, you will be responsible for delivering highly specialist psychological care to clients with complex mental health conditions or learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Clinical Supervision and Training: You will provide clinical supervision and training to less experienced colleagues within the designated psychology service and to other members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Undertake Formal Research: You will undertake formal research as an integral part of the job and act as field supervisor to doctorate trainees.
- Promote a Positive Image: You will promote at all times a positive image of people with mental ill health or learning disabilities.
- Deliver Highly Specialist Psychological Care: You will be accountable for your own professional practice in the delivery of highly specialist psychological care to clients with highly complex mental health conditions or learning disabilities which may include challenging behaviours.
- Qualifications: You will hold a qualification in psychological assessment and psychological therapy (e.g. Postgraduate diploma in CBT, IAPT High Intensity CBT diploma, CAT diploma).
- Registration: You will be registered with a professional registering body that is recognised by the Trust (e.g. HCPC or psychological therapy body from the list of TEWV approved organisations).
- Accreditation: You will be accredited in a Governed Psychological Therapy via a recognised accrediting body as cited in the Trust's Governed Psychological Therapies: Definitions, Standards and Coding document.
- Experience: You will have significant experience in consultation, clinical supervision and audit activities.
- Theory and Practice: You will have significant and specialist knowledge of the theory, practice, and evidence-based in the use of complex methods of assessment, intervention and management of complex cases based on psychological therapy models across a range of client presentations and care settings.
- Communication Skills: You will have well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, complex, highly technical and/or clinical sensitive information to clients, their family, carers and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS.
