Job Description

At Grant Thornton, we're looking for a seasoned professional to join our Financial Accounting Advisory Services team as a Business Process Outsourcing Director. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for leading and inspiring our people to drive business growth through change and innovation.

A Look into the Role

  • Work closely with our leadership team to gain a deep understanding of our business and processes.
  • Lead business growth by identifying and converting opportunities to offer outsourcing solutions, writing proposals, and building external networks of clients.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients with varying degrees of complexity, ensuring quality, timeliness of delivery, profitability, and strong relationship management.
  • Perform technical reviews of management accounts, statutory accounts, VAT returns, and electronic payment files, and manage associated risk.
  • Develop a strong understanding of our firm's policies and work within established guidelines of quality and risk management framework.
  • Support our outsourcing team in India and the UK, fostering a culture of coaching and development, and rewarding great performance.
  • Be approachable and accessible, providing technical support and guidance.
  • Be responsible for team finances and liaise with stakeholders.
  • Be a point of escalation for clients, taking the lead in conversations where required.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience of successful sales and business development to support the growth of a business.
  • Experience of onboarding and managing large outsourcing assignments.
  • Experience of coaching and leading others.
  • An understanding of finance functions, including UK GAAP/FRS101/FRS102.
  • Excellent communication skills to manage both client and delivery team relationships.
