Job Title: Highly Specialist Speech Language Therapist - SEND Therapy

We are seeking a highly specialist paediatric speech and language therapist to join our Special Educational Needs (SEND) Therapies team in West Essex.

This role involves working with early years and school-aged children, both in educational settings and at home, as part of our Community Health and Care services.

You will have the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis, visiting local schools and completing virtual sessions from home on a part-time basis.

The role includes core hours during school times, with occasional out-of-hours meetings with school staff or parents, and offers flexibility for additional hours.

A driving license and access to a vehicle are essential, as you will be visiting local schools as part of your role.

Main Responsibilities
  • To work alongside our Community Therapies Team and support the therapy needs of children with Education and Health Care Plans.
  • To collaborate with educational professionals, including SENCOs, LSAs, teachers, and parents/carers, to set goals and implement therapy plans that integrate within the daily curriculum specified in the child's EHCP.

Requirements
  • Registered HCPC registration in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Registration with the Royal College of SLT.
  • Driving license and access to a vehicle.
