Senior Occupational Therapist for Neurology and Medicine

We are seeking an experienced senior occupational therapist to join our team on acute medical wards, including cardiology and respiratory units. The successful candidate will have expertise in managing complex cases, providing leadership and supervision to junior staff, educating occupational therapy students, and maintaining professional development. The estimated salary for this position is £54,500 - £64,350 per annum, depending on experience. A degree or diploma in occupational therapy, registration with HCPC as an occupational therapist, and evidence of relevant continuing professional development at postgraduate level are essential requirements. Experience working in an acute hospital as part of an occupational therapy team and/or multidisciplinary team, supervising and mentoring junior staff, and managing difficult conversations are also highly desirable.
Salary: £54,500 - £64,350 per annum
Key Responsibilities:
Manage complex caseloads on acute medical wards, including cardiology and respiratory units
Provide leadership and supervision to junior staff
Educate occupational therapy students on practice placements
Maintain and develop own continuing professional development
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide expert occupational therapy services
