We are looking for an experienced and qualified Lead Occupational Therapist Acute Medicine to join our team at Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our occupational therapy department, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of occupational therapists in the acute medical wards, including cardiology and respiratory services.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy, with experience in core areas such as respiratory, neurological, and community working. You will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to junior staff, as well as overseeing the provision of occupational therapy services to patients with complex needs.

The role involves supervising and mentoring junior staff, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing interventions to improve patient outcomes. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

This is a part-time position, with 21.5 hours per week available. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The estimated salary for this role is £43,574 - £49,587 per year, depending on experience.
