We are currently recruiting for an Acute Medicine Specialist to join our team at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our occupational therapy department, you will be responsible for providing expert occupational therapy services to patients on our acute medical wards, including cardiology and respiratory. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with other disciplines to improve patient care and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have experience working in an acute hospital setting and supervising junior staff. They will also have knowledge of current evidence-based practice and be able to apply this to their work. The salary for this position is £43,574 - £49,587 per year, pro rata, inclusive of the high cost area supplement. Our benefits package includes flexible working options, including part-time hours and flexible weekend working, as well as access to our Alex Lounge, a staff-only rest area with free tea and coffee.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Evidence of relevant continuing professional development (CPD) at postgraduate level.
