About the Role

GOSHO Hospital Charity is seeking a Volunteer Reception Host to join our Supporter Relations team. As a Volunteer Reception Host, you will be the first point of contact for visitors to our office, providing a warm and welcoming experience. You will also assist with administrative duties, including making outbound calls to fundraisers and taking letters/parcels to the local post office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Host the reception desk and welcome visitors into the office
  • Offer visitors a seat and refreshments if appropriate
  • Let colleagues know that a visitor has arrived
  • Accept parcels
  • Make outbound Good Luck calls to fundraisers
  • Take letters/parcels to the local post office
Requirements
  • Confident at meeting new people and enthusiastic about offering them a friendly welcome
  • Can communicate clearly and confidently either face to face or over the telephone
  • Happy to make outbound calls to our fundraisers
  • Working knowledge of basic IT systems, Microsoft packages
  • Can undertake tasks using own initiative but confident to ask for help when needed
  • Ability to follow our policies and procedures to keep you, our staff and volunteers, our patients and our supporters safe
  • Ability to represent GOSH Charity and our values positively
  • Over 18 years of age
